d3o Sticker Designs- [Print]
The Brief: To create a sticker that could encapsulate the essential features that d3o's product has.
Comments: These stickers were entered in a competition ran by d3o internationally. Many designers entered. However, one of these was the winner. This was a crucial point in the history of BLYdesigns, as it was its starting point
i-Star Academy Logo- [Print]
The Brief: To create an elite-looking, attractive, eye catching and clean design that can be press printed for clothing.
Comments: This design was the first piece of work that BLYdesigns did for i-Star Academy; it is from this design that we have established a strong link with i-Star. This logo now fronts i-Star and a range of clothing available for i-Star members.
i-Star Academy Leaflet- [Print]
The Brief: To create a small sized leaflet or flyer to promote i-Star Academy and its up and coming open day.
Comments: This design was created by BLYdesigns and then sent to a professional printers. The leaflets/flyers were then dropped around schools within sussex and the i-Star Academy open day was a massive success. The design was created at 300dpi to ensure a detailed and good finish.
SOBA Membership Cards- [Print]
The Brief: To create 2007/2008 membership cards for SOBA (Southern Offroad Boarding Association.) Using the Haredown logo and SOBA logo together and the base colours of red and black.
Comments: These membership cards were used and given to over 150 members of SOBA. We decided to use four different background images to ensure some diversity in the designs and this was received very well.
"Your Steyning" Cover Illustration- [Print]
The Brief: To create a computer designed image that could be used on the front of Your Steyning (a local free magazine) that would help make the magazine more attractive to a younger generation. Using Steyning and its surroundings as an inspiration that must feature in the image
Comments: The second of two designs created by BLYdesigns for this brief. This one was chosen due to its aesthetic appeal and its use of photos taken in the local area.
i-Star Academy Website- [Web]
The Brief: To create a user friendly professional looking website that could accommodate Gymnastics, Performing Arts, Creative Arts and Cheerleading. Using the main colour, green, with a complimenting colour scheme.
Comments: The i-Star Academy website was the most enjoyable project to date. It consisits of one "main site" that deals with all general i-Star Academy information; with 4 "mini Sub-sites", within the main, to deal with the seperate areas the i-Star Academy specialises in. Gallerys using flash scripting and a bloging system using PHP were also included. It was a large project that we took on and work is still being done to constantly improve the site aswell as to keep it up to date.
Project.Documentation Website- [Web]
The Brief: To create a website that can be easily updated by users and contains areas for media placement within the site: written, photos and videos. The site needed to look profesional but fun at the same time and must use black and white as a base pallet. A latest news section and Messageboard were also required.
Comments: The Project.Documentation website was an exciting and enjoyable project. The site consists of six main pages with sub sections in two of these. PHP scripting, Flash, CSS and HTML were all used to produce this high quality site and keep it runnin smoothly. The blogging system and messageboard alongside the gallerys and videos help to keep the site user friendly and interactive, giving the admin easy access to updating and informing users.
